Gamma Delta's Local Philanthropies
Our chapter supports our National philanthropies as well as our local. Locally we support The Coalition for Kids in Johnson City, The Children's Advocacy Center, and the local Girl Scouts. We want to get involved as much as possible with those who are supported by these organizations by assisting them financially, through social interaction, and helping them in whatever way possible. Throughout the year, we set aside time to visit each of our local philanthropies and plan events such as arts and crafts, games, plant flowers, sell Girl Scout cookies, etc.
Shamrock Golf Tournament

Each year Kappa Deltas across the country hold Shamrock Events to benefit Prevent Child Abuse America (PCA America) as well as local child abuse prevention agencies.
Why do we host the Shamrock Golf Tournament and where do the proceeds go?
To raise money for three different child abuse prevention agencies at the local and national levels.
We raised nearly $25,000 last year.
The proceeds of our golf tournament are divided among the Coalition for Kids in Johnson City, The Children’s Advocacy Center in Blountville, and Prevent Child Abuse America.
80% of all money raised stays in the Tri-Cities and benefits local children.
20% is given to the National Prevent Child Abuse America office to aid in their efforts in bettering the lives of abused children across our nation
Kappa Delta does not keep any of the money raised for personal use.
